Commentary from Bob Karp, Karp Properties: It does look like an improving market for home sales in 2014. However the Sierra Vista, Arizona area housing market continues to lag both the state and national markets. Sierra Vista entered the housing “great recession” two years behind the rest of the country and is still under-performing improving markets such as Tucson and Phoenix Arizona. Month over month statistics have remained fairly consistent over the last 18 months with no big increases in sales and a slight decrease in the median sales price in the Cochise County area served by the Southeast Arizona Multiple Listing Service.
